Miss Madison's Tea

I am finally able to plan my daughter's 8th birthday party, she and I decided to have a small tea party for her closest friends.

I made these invitations from gorgeous vintage floral papers that I purchased at
A Joyous Spring Fete. A beautiful Spring show put on by my friends Kimberlee Edgar and Melissa Tereck.
The vintage crepe paper was from my personal collection. I am not really finished with the invitations but since I have been missing in action here for so long, I thought I would post what I have done so far.

It's been fun to do something creative again!

Feeding our Western Bluebirds

I hope you enjoy this little clip. My kids and I have been feeding our wild Western Bluebirds for about 4 years now. They are so beautiful!

As you may have noticed, I am taking a sabbatical from my folk art, in order to take care of personal matters. However, I would hate to lose touch completely, so I will post goodies here from time to time!

My Son Ray and his Mandarin immersion Kindergarten class are in the newspaper today! He is in the red shirt. There is also a video on the newspaper's website. Very exciting for our little guy!

My little Chicklette!

I made this lil cutie from a borrowed mold, so she is a one of a kind. She sits atop a lidded container which is trimmed in a soft vintage pom pom fringe. Her Sunday hat is topped with vintage milinery flowers.

I am already looking forward to Spring? Aren't you?
