Actually.. I had no costume :(. I had a rather unfortunate incident on October 30th when my beloved red Subaru caught on fire. I was very fortunate to not be hurt, just some inhalation of some very acrid smoke. My car is a total loss, sadly.. but I thank God that my children were not with me. I also thank God for the woman who honked and yelled at me to pull over. She said that I had flames shooting out from underneath my car. The fire dept. came quickly and put out the flames, and a good friend drove to the scene and gave me a ride.
It was an interesting Halloween to say the least! But the kids had fun, and Ray enjoyed showing off his Optimus Prime costume :~).
I still have my rental car.. but hope to buy a new car this week.
Hi Kitty, darling children & Halloween costumes! AND...
OMG, about your car! I'm so glad you're all right! I'll write you privately what I think is happening & give you some links on what you wrote me about your Thanksgiving Day excursion. (ANOTHER OMG)!
I decided to make a Top Ten List For Immediate Evacuation on my blog since I've been through two mandatory evacuations. I know this will be very helpful. The Internet had scattered tips & nothing that could help in every natural disaster. Let me know what you think when you get a chance...
Prayers for a safe & lucky Friday the 13th... Just think that way, it's always been lucky for us.

I've always had my hands in one medium or another.. from making Christmas ornaments with my Mom to painting sets for the high school musicals.
After several years managing stationery & gift shops, I decided upon a career change. Determined to pursue a more creative avenue I enrolled in a Regional Occupational Training program for one year where I studied graphic design and illustration. Upon completing this program I was awarded a scholarship to The Academy of Art College in San Francisco, and in addition, I was awarded a scholarship by the Society of Illustrators, San Francisco. After college, I worked as a freelance designer for several advertising agencies before leaving work to begin my family.
