I didn't want to frighten him, but I did roll him gently back onto his feet, as he was struggling on his back. Here he is still quite dazed.. but appears to be recovering.

He took off just a minute or so after I took this picture. First he landed on our window sill, then flew to our oak tree. A happy ending for this little yellow rumped beauty!!

Ohh thank goodness for the happy ending. I periodically have this happen as well. Glad he perked up!
