I hope you enjoy this little clip. My kids and I have been feeding our wild Western Bluebirds for about 4 years now. They are so beautiful!

As you may have noticed, I am taking a sabbatical from my folk art, in order to take care of personal matters. However, I would hate to lose touch completely, so I will post goodies here from time to time!
This is my son, singing one of his Mandarin songs for me :).
I've always had my hands in one medium or another.. from making Christmas ornaments with my Mom to painting sets for the high school musicals.
After several years managing stationery & gift shops, I decided upon a career change. Determined to pursue a more creative avenue I enrolled in a Regional Occupational Training program for one year where I studied graphic design and illustration. Upon completing this program I was awarded a scholarship to The Academy of Art College in San Francisco, and in addition, I was awarded a scholarship by the Society of Illustrators, San Francisco. After college, I worked as a freelance designer for several advertising agencies before leaving work to begin my family.
I find myself incredibly blessed, in that I am able to be at home with my children and pursue my creative dreams.
When I can break away from home, you'll find me scouring thrift shops and flea markets for vintage treasures which find their way either into my home decor, or one of my many creative projects!
